Frequently asked questions
Can't I just use AI in my own Slack to do this?
Yes — for detection. But self-generated evidence is worth little in a billing dispute. ForgeStack receipts are third-party, immutable, and independently verifiable by your client. You can't notarize your own documents.
What data do you access?
Only public Slack channels where you explicitly invite the ForgeStack bot. We never access private channels, DMs, or files. You control exactly what gets scanned.
How does verification work?
Each receipt gets a SHA-256 hash of its contents at the time of certification. Anyone with the link can verify the receipt is authentic and has not been modified — no account needed.
What if I disagree with a detection?
Every detection is reviewed by you before it becomes a receipt. Dismiss what isn't relevant. Only accepted detections get certified. ForgeStack never auto-bills or contacts your clients.
Do you assign monetary value to detected work?
No. Detection identifies work, not prices. When you convert a detection into a certified receipt, you set and confirm the amount yourself. Amounts are set and confirmed by you, never by ForgeStack.
